Constituency Services

My office is dedicated to help you as best we can. There are many issues in which we specialize and can help you directly. For other issues, we can help you liaise with Provincial Government Ministries, or connect you to any one of the many community agencies in our region.

If you are a resident of the Nelson-Creston riding, you can request:

  • Michelle's attendance at a community event, or  conference
  • Michelle to write a celebratory greeting for anniversaries, special events or upon the receipt of a certificate of achievement
  • Michelle to make a presentation to your classroom
  • a tour of the Victoria Legislature with Michelle
  • information on locating government services and contact information
  • assistance with government policies and services, including hard-copies of government documents, legislation, discussion papers and other web-based forms if you don’t have Internet access
  • assistance with understanding government processes
  • aid in resolving issues with provincial government agencies

Unfortunately, we are unable to help with:

  • federal or municipal issues
  • legal advice
  • a matter if you have retained a lawyer to represent you pertaining to your case,
  • a matter that is pending before the courts. If you have complaints about the judges, you can direct them to Canadian Judicial Council.
  • a case that involves a police investigation. We cannot make inquiries about police investigations. If you have a complaint about police conduct, please direct them to the Office of the Police Complaints Commissioner.
  • directing police to take action
  • changing the time limits for filing appeals
  • over-turning the decision of any provincial government ministry or body
  • a specific dispute between businesses or neighbors
  • processes set up to be independent of the Legislature -such as the Ombudsman, Police Complaints Commissioner, and the Representative for Children and Youth
  • finding you housing or employment

Although we cannot help you directly in these matters, we are happy to connect you to community agencies or other levels of government in our region who can.
